Unpaved tracks and country lanes lead into the Parco del Po Piemontese, a protected area rich in biodiversity. The Grangia di Pobietto, once managed by Cistercian monks, retains the character of an old fortified farmstead, surrounded by meadows, channels and riverside woodland.
Along the route, explore the Po floodplain, with reflective stretches of water, rows of poplars and fields reaching towards the horizon. Birdsong and wind in the reeds accompany the walk.
