On Trisobbio's truffle trail, signs explain the plants associated with truffle growth, underground truffle habitats and how truffles are extracted.
The walk finishes in Montaldo Bormida after around 9 km, amid woodland that invites us to imagine the partnership between truffle hunter and dog.
We pass near one of Monferrato's many castles; the Italian programme compares the area's concentration of castles with the Loire.
Membership contribution for guiding and organisation: €20.
An optional social meal, paid separately on site, and possible tastings or visits may be arranged. Registered participants will receive details.
