Our walk begins among hills covered with colourful vineyards in every season, then reaches Lu, whose short place name is among Italy's shortest.
This village has historical and cultural landmarks, including its 1556 tower, once part of a castle that no longer survives.
We continue to the lilac Big Bench, part of a project celebrating the area, and enjoy the views over Monferrato.
