L'evento
Starting in Melazzo, a village of Roman origin, we head towards Cavatore. Near the mouth of the Rio Caliogna, on the left bank, a section of the Roman aqueduct remains visible.
Cavatore offers a feeling of peace, especially in summer, when its modest altitude brings relief from the lower valley's heat. Its Apennine atmosphere, stone houses and small discoveries invite exploration on foot.
The well-preserved Tower of Cavatore is the village's symbol and once played an important defensive role.
